Creating a care home where residents may continue to enjoy their best days and optimize their overall health is one of the primary goals of Valley Comfort Care Home. In maintaining this assisted living environment, challenges may seldomly present themselves. Our experienced and professional staff have the capability of caring for our residents with the pursuit of optimization in care and quality of life.
We understand that both families and residents may go through transitional periods and experience varying emotions We are here to assist and support the residents and their loved ones in this transition to kupuna care.
Experienced Care Team
We take pride in having an experienced care team who are dedicated and well-versed in providing exceptional support for our residents. Our team members bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. They are not only highly trained, but compassionate, ensuring that our residents receive the best care possible. Their commitment to delivering individualized care and their ability to adapt to the unique needs of each resident sets our care team apart, offering peace of mind to both residents and their families.
Owner Reina Medalla, has trained RN's and LPN's at other facilities in the past. This is a practice that continues on at Valley Comfort Care Home, and she regularly provides in-service training for all staff members to enhance their knowledge and abilities. All caregivers are are trained to think like nurses and operate to the best of their abilities, even if they are currently in the process of working towards their next certification.
Valley Comfort Care Home values teamwork and a positive, and open work environment for all staff so that feedback is always present and available for improvement within our care home team. In addition to this, weekly audits are performed to help identify areas where things can be improved over time. This includes not only integration with existing technology or equipment to make things safer and more efficient, but also how the potential use of any AI equipment may be possible.
Staff Presence
There are at least 3 staff members on-premises every day at Valley Comfort Care Home in Honolulu. After hours and overnight, there is always one full-time staff member present to watch over our residents and respond to any needs that they have. Each resident's room is equipped with a call button to easily reach staff if they have the need.
